We are thrilled to invite children ages 7-12 to join us for a dynamic 2-week series of equine adventures. Whether your child is a seasoned rider or new to horses, our camp provides a unique blend of learning, fun, and hands-on experience designed to foster a love for horses and riding.
Group Schedule and Descriptions:
- December 3rd - Introduction to Horses: Our journey begins with an exciting introduction to the world of horses. This session focuses on the basics: understanding horse behavior, learning how to approach and care for horses safely, and discovering the essential parts of a horse and their care routine. Children will engage in interactive activities to build their confidence and knowledge about these wonderful animals.
- December 6th - Western Tack and Riding: Dive into the rich tradition of Western riding! In this session, campers will explore the distinctive tack used in Western disciplines, such as saddles, bridles, and other equipment. They will learn about the history and purpose of Western riding gear and participate in hands-on riding sessions. Our experienced instructors will guide children through Western riding techniques, focusing on both safety and fun.
- December 10th - English Tack and Riding: Experience the elegance and precision of English riding! This session introduces campers to English tack, including saddles, bridles, and bits. Children will learn the differences between English and Western riding styles and practice riding techniques specific to English riding. Through engaging exercises and activities, they will develop their riding skills and gain a deeper understanding of this traditional discipline.
- December 13th - Equestrian Vaulting: Unleash the excitement of equestrian vaulting, a sport that combines gymnastics and riding! In this final session, children will have the opportunity to experience vaulting—a thrilling activity that involves performing gymnastic moves on a walking horse.
